Updated advice for PMC referees
We have updated and clarified the advice given to referees for journals within the PMC Physics-series, as follows:
Publication of research articles in the PMC series is dependent primarily on their validity and coherence, as judged by peer reviewers, who are also asked whether the writing is comprehensible and how interesting they consider the article to be. Submitted manuscripts will be sent to peer reviewers, unless they are either out of scope or below threshold for the journal, or the presentation or written English is of an unacceptably low standard.
