The Large Hadron Collider has hit the media in a big way in the last few weeks. Apart from the Horizon programme mentioned elsewhere, there have also been exhaustive recent profiles in New Yorker magazine and the New York Times (with associated Slashdot commentary). Peter Woit wonders if all this exposure so far in advance of the - likely delayed - start-up of the collider might create some kind of LHC-fatigue effect.
Fast forward 18 months and imagine what impact the collider will have on the media if they do find the Higgs - and something else too. Even OK! will be covering it
