Mathematics at undergrad level: UK vs. China
BBC News has an interesting story on its websiteat the moment describing the differences between entrance exams for 'science' undergrads (one hopes excluding mathematics!) in China and the UK. The UK question is from "a well known and respected" English university. If this is true, then students will be in for a shock when it comes round to quantum mechanics and Hamiltonian operators and the like.
