Professor Eli Ruckenstein Joins Chemistry Central Journal Editorial Advisory Board
We are pleased to announce that Eli
Ruckenstein, distinguished Professor
of Chemical & Biological Engineering
at the University of Buffalo, has joined Chemistry Central Journal as an editorial advisory board member for chemical engineering,
catalysis and materials chemistry.Prof Ruckenstein's research interests include
catalysis, surface phenomena, colloids and emulsions, and biocompatible surfaces
and materials. In particular, he has made
various contributions in areas including transport phenomena, the stability of
nanosized liquid and solid films and thermodynamics of complex systems, in addition to pioneering the theoretical and experimental treatment
of the stability of supported metal catalysts. He has published more than 800 papers
and has received numerous awards
including, more recently, the National Academy of Engineering's founder's
Award in 2004 and the American Institute
