Journal of the International AIDS Society launches as an independent journal

The Editors-in-Chief, Mark Wainberg and Elly Katabira, together with Executive Editor, Shirin Heidari, welcome readers to the launch of Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS). Previously publishing in Medscape General Medicine under eJIAS (electronic Journal of the International AIDS Society), the journal is proud to continue with this success as an independent journal with BioMed Central.

“As in the past, we will give priority to articles that are submitted by authors in developing countries and will insist that all articles accepted for publication be of high quality. In order to maintain a high standard of publication, JIAS is committed to provide mentorship to authors as a means of helping them improve the quality of submitted manuscripts.” Read more in the launch Editorial.

An official journal of the International AIDS Society, JIAS remains dedicated to the dissemination of HIV-related research. The society covers all journal publication costs, providing further support for authors wishing to submit to the journal.
