Guest Blog - MalariaWorld: All about malaria on your doorstep every week

The first guest blog entry for BioMed Central comes from Bart Knols, a malaria reseacher from the Netherlands who has published extensively in BioMed Central's open access journals. He writes:

A survey amongst more than 100 malaria researchers revealed that they spend an average of 4.6 hours per week searching for information - articles, e-tocs, news etc. Rather than appropriating information on malaria, they spend time looking for it.

This is what the MalariaWorld email newsletter aims to change. We search more than 100 journals, numerous websites and other resources for every relating to malaria and organize this into one email that researchers around the world receive every week. There are close to 2100 students, academics, malaria control people, journalists and other professionals receiving this service in more than 70 countries. Issue 122 was released this week.
