More independent journals from BioMed Central tracked by MEDLINE and Thomson Scientific
We are pleased to announce that the International Journal of Health Geographics
has been accepted for tracking by Thomson Scientific as part of the Social Science Citation Index and is on course to
receive its first official impact factor in 2010. The journal already has an
impressive unofficial impact factor of 2.15. A full list of BioMed Central journals tracked by Thomson Scientific is available here.
In addition, three more titles from the independent journals portfolio have recently been accepted for indexing in MEDLINE. The journals are:
- Journal of Ethnobiology and Ethnomedicine
- Journal of Neuroinflammation
- Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases
The journals were selected for MEDLINE based on the recommendation of the Literature Selection Technical Review Committee (LSTRC), an NIH-chartered advisory committee of external experts. The inclusion of these titles by MEDLINE reflects their growing importance in their fields, and is a strong endorsement of their achievements to date.
These three journals are among 73 BioMed Central titles now indexed in MEDLINE.
In addition all BioMed Central journals are included in PubMed,
PubMed Central,
Scirus, Scopus and Google Scholar.
We would like to congratulate the Editors-in-Chief of these four journals
on their achievement.
